Ballycastle Strand

Ballycastle Strand is magnificent. Enjoy great views of Rathlin Island from the Blue Flag Ballycastle Strand. It is just under a mile in length and is a great beach for surfing and swimming. It is also close to town which makes it popular with locals and visitors.

The Ballycastle Golf club makes an enriching backdrop. Ballycastle Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course open to both members and non-members year round.

The West end of the beach starts at Ballycastle Marina and ends at Pans Rock in the East.

You can canoe, dive, fish, sail and swim at Ballycastle Strand, although there is no Life Guard present at the beach. There is a well laid out car park and toilets.

The tennis courts and clubhouse are on the seafront, backed by the Glenshesk River opening into the North Atlantic.
